12 gift ideas this holiday season

1. For smooth sipping: TeaGardenPottery Flower Tea Set

  • Price: $$

I’ve been dreaming about a nice tea set for some time. I picture myself hosting tea parties with friends, enjoying treats, and catching up. It’d be a nice way to elevate my at-home get-togethers. It can get pricey to gather as adults in a restaurant or another public setting (dinner, drinks, transportation, etc.), so I like having lower cost ways to spend quality time with friends. I’m drawn to tea sets like this TeaGardenPottery Flower Tea Seat with a beautiful design. It gives me cozy but fancy vibes!

2. For easier travel: Béis Luggage

  • Price: $$$

My current go-to suitcase is one I may have borrowed from my parents and not given back, so you could definitely say I need some luggage of my own! After reviewing a few brands, I am really intrigued to try the Béis Check-In Roller and Béis Carry-On Roller. Béis is one of the more affordable brands of luggage that is aesthetically pleasing and functional. One really cool feature of the larger bag is a weight indicator that lets you know when you need to take a few things out! No more unpacking in the middle of the airport with a line of people waiting (impatiently) behind me!

3. For mood lighting: Fontana Candles

  • Price: $

I absolutely adore the smell and mood that a lit candle sets, especially in the cold fall and winter months. My favorite scent is vanilla. However, I am also conscious of ingredients and prefer not to use conventional candles that can contain artificial fragrances. I once asked my Instagram audience for nontoxic candle recommendations, and Fontana Candles were highly recommended. It uses pure beeswax, sustainably-sourced coconut oil, and therapeutic-grade essential oils instead of artificial fragrances. I need the holiday set, stat.

4. For stress-reduction techniques: “Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art

  • Price: $

I am super interested in the power of our breath. I incorporate breath work into my life daily and often refer to it as our “built-in stress management tool.” I feel so much calmer when I complete a few rounds of intentional breathing, not to mention we digest much better when we are calm and grounded. I have heard that “Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art,” by James Nestor, is a great resource to learn more about the power of breath, so it has been high on my reading list.

5. For being fashionably on-time: MVMT Coronada Ceramic Watch

  • Price: $$$

I’m the owner of one MVMT watch that was gifted to me by my sister a few years ago, and I have loved it. But different watches go with different outfits, so it’s time to get another. The MVMT has a nice, simple style and comes in lots of colors, though I’m partial to the white and gold combination on this MVMT Coronada Ceramic Watch. I believe watches are an easy way to elevate any outfit and are especially great for days I want to dress casually but not look too casual.

6. For a greener home: The Sill Easy-Care Subscription

  • Price: $$$

I’m always open to more plants. I love the pop of green that plants provide, and the naturalness of plants calms me. The Sill Easy-Care Subscription is at the top of my list. It would be so fun to receive a new plant for 3 or 6 months in a row!

7. For cleaner H2O: AquaTru Carafe

Price: $$$

If you’ve never looked up the contaminants found in your local water supply, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it might not be pretty. I currently have a really basic water filter, but this is a part of my health I want to uplevel, given how much water I consume (around 60 ounces a day). The AquaTru Carafe filters more compounds than my current filter, including PFAS (aka “forever chemicals”) and the pesticide glyphosate, using reverse osmosis, which experts consider one of the most effective forms of water filtration.

8. For reaching your step goal: SupeRun BA04 Mini Walking Pad

  • Price: $$$

Walking is my favorite form of movement. I usually walk every day, even when it’s cold. But sometimes, New England winter weather makes it not-so-safe to go out for brisk walks, or else I risk slipping on ice — and I really miss walking during those times. My condo isn’t big enough to fit a full-sized treadmill, but a foldable walking pad would be great for me. I like that the SupeRun BA04 Mini Walking Pad could go under my bed when I’m not using it (because, truly, there would be no room for it otherwise).

9. For Saturdays in the park: Pottery Barn Providence Woven Picnic Basket

Price: $$

I recently went on a picnic date and realized I needed a basket for such occasions! I love that this Pottery Barn Providence Woven Picnic Basket one not only comes with plates and silverware but also sports an insulated compartment to keep things like cheese or fruit cool. I love finding ways to share quality time without spending a ton of money, and having a delicious picnic in a park with good company can’t be beaten.

10. For stunning breakfast casseroles: Le Creuset Olive Branch Collection Casserole Dish

  • Price: $$$

I consider cooking for others one of my “love languages.” I love to feed people, but I’m definitely lacking some larger pieces of cookware that would be useful to feed my friends and family. What’s more, I admire good quality kitchenware and would like to build up my collection. Where else to look than the classic Le Creuset? I think the Olive Branch Collection Casserole Dish for an at-home brunch would be first on my list. Now, I’ll just need some good coffee to go with it!

11. For wrinkle-free clothes: The Nori Press Steam Iron

  • Price: $$

I grew up with my mom ironing clothes all the time. Now that I’m living on my own and in a small space, I’m not too keen on pulling out an ironing board. The experience of ironing could change for the better, though, with the Nori Press Steam Iron. It works like a straightening iron for your hair, so no ironing board is required! Plus, being able to travel with it after clothes get wrinkly in a suitcase is a perk.

12. For staying cozy this winter: Pottery Barn Beautyrest Heated Blanket

  • Price: $$

I really don’t like feeling cold (I would much rather be hot!), but where I live, we get a true winter, and it can get CHILLY. I love the idea of being able to heat up quickly with this Pottery Barn Beautyrest Heated Blanket. When I am shoveling snow, the idea of coming inside to sit under this blanket will get me through it!
